Uploading with a thumbnail

Filed under: Geek — don @ 5:43 pm

Here’s a nifty picture that I’m uploading using the thumbnail.

Firefox_wallpaper.png

All you have to do is left click on the picture in the “Browse” when you get it uploaded and choose “Using Thumbnail” instead of “Using Original” . You also want to choose “Linked to Image”. Then send it to the editor. You can also drag it to the editor.

  2. We’re all using 2.0 now except you. I think you’re still on 1.5?

  4. Um, I’m sick of M$oft crashing my computer. And their updates don’t help me either. I get blue screened at Startup. Where can I het Linux or something else NOT M$?

  5. Fedora Core(Redhat)
    Mandriva
Those are the 2 distributions I would recommend. I’m running Fedora Core 5. I use it for almost everything except playing Counter Strike although with Cedega you can even play Windows games.

  6. So, do I just download and use? Will this delete any of the current programs I use at all?

  7. It’s not quite that simple. You need to download the ISOs then make install CDs. Once you have that you can boot off the first one and it will walk you through the install. It will install a dual-boot setup so you can then boot into Windoze or Linux. You should understand about partitioning your hard drive before you do it. Do you have partion software? It’s not a good idea to install Linux on the same partition where you have Windows(in fact it’s difficult).

  8. The thumbnail feature has been a problem for me. It will not work as advertised. I got it to work at one time but no longer. I have no idea why. Nothing happens when I click on the image. I do not get the little option window.

  9. That’s really odd. All 3 upgrades I’ve done work just fine. I wonder why your’s doesn’t.
