Firefox 2.0 beta 1

Filed under: Geek — don @ 9:13 pm

The newest version of Firefox is out in beta form.  It’s not recommended for the masses but if you are adventurous give it a try.  I’m using it to write this post so it obviously works.  It’s got a few neat, new features but nothing earth shattering.

  1. Are you using the new version exclusively now? Any bugs?

    Windows or Linux?

  2. Not exclusively as it didn’t replace 1.5 and I still usually launch from the shortcut. I haven’t seen any bugs yet.

Linux. Didn’t try the Windows version yet.

  3. Ok, I changed the shortcut so it launches 2.0.

  4. The browser is such an important part of the whole computer experience, that I think I’ll wait unti it is formally released. I hate a buggy browsing experience.

  5. I don’t think I would like it either but that hasn’t happened so far. I haven’t noticed one bug yet but of course I don’t know what the Windoze version is like. It’s probably as buggy as the OS. 😉
