Can you say mid-life crisis?

Sure, I knew you could. The Mazda didn’t work out but I did learn a valuble lesson. You would think at 51 I would have already learned it but obviously not. The Mazda started losing oil pressure at idle when it got warm. It didn’t do that when I first bought it so I’m pretty sure the person I got it from doctored it.

I decided that was my last time buying a vehicle that didn’t have a warrenty. So today we went and got a car that Betty can also drive and it’s got a warrenty. It’s a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. It’s something we can actually drive a long ways without having to worry about. I was nervous about taking that Mazda further than about 25 miles.

There are a couple of pictures in the gallery. Yes that’s a ding on the front. We did a Carfax report and it came back clean so I believe it’s ok. Besides, it’s got a warrenty.

  1. Ok, so let’s see if I have the count correct…

    1 motorcyle
    1 mazda
    1 green car
    1 spyder
    ?? quads
1 truck (you still have that?)

And how many drivers in your family???? 2…Oh I see a trend, a car for every day of the week!

Just had to pick on you a bit dad!!!

  2. The Mazda is going to be sold and it’s only 1 quad. Betty can drive the Spyder and the truck. So that’s only the motorcycle and quad for me and I can’t drive the quad on the road. She’s got 3!

The truck gets about 1.7 mpg so we don’t drive it much so maybe she’s only got 2 to my 1. She did say yesterday she is thinking about appropriating the Spyder. She likes it.

And by the way, being picked on just makes me feel like I’m still at work. 😉

  3. Well, I guess that is good then. So the quads and truck don’t really count!

    Love ya!
