Dental implants. Hah!

Oh, you would have been cute with the other kind.
Gisele got a dental implant a few years ago with mixed results. The tooth is there and seems solid, but the bone never regrew completely around the base and there are also problems with the gums. She has to have her teeth cleaned by a specialist, which costs a lot more.
I’m not sure she would do it again if given the choice. On the other hand, many people have good success with them.

That is what we guessed, but who knows there are lots of different implants out there!

I knew immediately because of course I follow your tweets. I just got a new crown and the dentist improved the angle of it to be more in line with the teeth on either side of it. Now I’m tempted to get a couple more on my crooked front teeth simply to improve their appearance. But of course, dental insurance wouldn’t cover any of it, and I’m not sure it’s worth what it would cost me. I guess vanity at age 56 is rather silly.
Anyway, I’m sure yours are for medical/dental reasons, not cosmetic. Congratulations!

I’ll put up a post explaining a bit more soon. In fact I’m thinking of making a blog dedicated to the experience of getting the implants. I would like to do it on donlafferty.com but not sure when the big data move is going to happen and if it would be ok to start now.

I love my teeth the way they are now! One thing I need to be sure of is getting good glue for my lowers. I have found that store brands don’t work as well. No tooth ache, and I can even chew ice.
