I got my Givi and installed it today. I think it looks pretty good.

I was going to ask if you got the 46 or 52 but the picture clearly show the 46. It is exactly the same as the one I have except for the color. I think you will enjoy it.

Is this a trunk for your motorcycle?
Comment by Heather — Saturday October 6, 2007 @ 9:59 am
Does that eliminate the possibility of a passenger?
Comment by Donna — Saturday October 6, 2007 @ 1:25 pm
I added a few more pictures to maybe answer some questions.
Heather: Yes, it is a trunk for my motorcycle.
Donna: As you can see from the added pictures it doesn’t eliminate a passenger. It actually makes a backrest for the passenger.

My reaction reading this:
What the heck’s a “Givi”?
Oh, I see. It’s that thing on his motorcycle.
What’s it for?
Oh, I see. You put stuff in it.
Does it lock?
Oh, I see the keys hanging from it in the second picture.
Now a couple of unanswered questions:
What’s the red square thing inside the lid?
Does it have tail lights, or are those just reflectors?

The red square thing? I don’t know. It doesn’t seem to serve a purpose to me but maybe Richard can shed some light on that question.
Mine is reflectors only but you can get a light kit for it and turn those into stoplights.

I think it might be the bottom of a top compartment.

The red square is just a piece of plastic that mounts inside the top of the case. I think it will cover the attachment hardware if you purchase an optional top mounted rack.
I did purchase the optional stop light kit for mine, but I did not recommend it to Don. It does not provide much light and I do not feel it is worth the cost or the hassle of installing it.
That in no way detracts from the case itself. It is very high quality and I like mine very much.

and how was the visit?

We all had a great time. See my Gallery for pictures. I’ll make a post later, probably tomorrow.

I noticed all of our photo widgets have quit working. What’s up with that?
Comment by Donna — Thursday November 1, 2007 @ 5:49 pm
They quit working after the update to the php and mysql programs. I’m not sure which one is causing the problem but maybe Daryl and I can figure it out.
Comment by Don — Thursday November 1, 2007 @ 7:29 pm
It seems you can have one photo but not more due to some PHP error happening. Since you only need one you should be ok. Here’s what I have in my PHP widget. You should put something similar.
< ?php include('../gallery/block-random.php'); ?>

Well I fixed mine and Heather’s but Joce’s doesn’t work still. She can’t even have one photo. It’s probably related to the theme.
Comment by Don — Thursday November 1, 2007 @ 8:20 pm
That’s exactly what I had before, and it doesn’t work on mine.
Comment by Donna — Thursday November 1, 2007 @ 9:25 pm
I can change my theme. I’ll go theme shoppin later
Comment by Jocelyn — Friday November 2, 2007 @ 4:57 am
It’s not the theme, Joc.
