Firefox 2.0 not-the-beta is coming out tomorrow. It’s actually available at their ftp site if you just can’t wait. Yeah, I’m running it now. I’m sure it will be a lot more stable than the beta I tried earlier. I haven’t explored it but it’s supposed to have a better RSS reader now. It also has anti-phishing detection.

I’m concerned that AdBlock may not work with this new version, at least not yet. I can’t live without AdBlock!

AdBlock and FlashBlock both work just fine. In fact all the extensions I was using with 1.5 either worked or had an update.

Thanks, I especially like the spell checker. About time we got one we can use everywhere!

I’ve installed it and it seems to run fine, with most of my extensions.
Haven’t noticed any improvements; in fact I think I preferred the earlier version where you could close a tab by clicking an “X” on the far right.
Now you have to click the “X” on the tab itself.
Minor nit.

That is my main nit also. I am starting to get used to the new tabs though. I think if it had been done the opposite way we would be complaining about having to have the tab open that you wanted to delete. 😉

I just discovered that you can still middle-click on a tab to close it.
