32 PSI or bust

Filed under: Politics — don @ 9:45 pm

I’ve got to inflate my tires if I want to save money on gas. How stupid of me to think there was more to it than that. Here I was driving around with only 2 or 3 psi in my tires and of course I was getting terrible mileage. I’m glad we’ve got someone as smart as Barak Hussein Obama to tell us what we’ve all been doing wrong. He says we can save as much gas as all the offshore drilling if we all just inflate our tires.

Cough.. what an idiot. Are you libs still thinking this guy is your savior?

Obama is the Democratic nominee. I fear greatly for the future of this country and my children’s children.

Who Really Cares?

Filed under: Politics — don @ 5:10 pm

That is the title of a book by Arthur C. Brooks that came out a bit ago about the giving habits of Liberal and Conservative Americans. Republicans have typically been called cold and heartless by Democrats. Most Liberals truly believe they care more about needy people but if you read this book you’ll find out they only care when it’s not their money.

In summary Conservatives actually give more money and blood and Liberals volunteer more time. It seems the Liberals believe that taking money out of your pocket and giving it to the needy is much better than taking it out of their own. I don’t know how else to explain it but here’s a link to an excerpt from the book.

This of course does not apply to all Liberals and Conservatives but it’s certainly interesting that the bad rap we’ve gotten isn’t deserved.

Quite typical

Filed under: Politics — don @ 7:53 pm

Yesterday when I first read about Eliot Spitzer on Yahoo I was wondering if he was a Dem or Repub. When I finished reading I was sure he was a Dem, not because Yahoo said so in the story but because they didn’t say. I’ve known Yahoo was extremely leftist for a while but I guess it surprised me a bit. When a Republican like Larry Craig gets in hot water they make sure everyone knows he’s a Repub in the headline.

Of course almost all TV News is extremely liberal except Fox. Fox says they are fair and balanced and for the most part they are. They have quite a few libs employed as well as conservatives. Compare them to NBC, CBS, ABC, and MSNBC. Those 4 don’t even try to hide their disdain for the right and love of the left. The funniest thing is they don’t realize it. If you asked one of their top reporters or anchormen they would swear they didn’t play favorites. And that is also typical of a liberal. They usually can’t see the truth if it’s staring them in the face.

They don’t need ice water now…

Because Hell has frozen over. Ann Coulter is supporting Hillary over John McCain and just now I heard Tammy Bruce say she endorses Mitt Romney. I’ve seen it all….

Stipend, rebate, check, or welfare?

Filed under: Politics — don @ 5:11 pm

I hope some liberal helps me understand this because it’s hurting my head. Democrats are against the Bush tax cut and want to let it expire or roll it back completely. But now Democrats want to send money back to taxpayers and even non-taxpayers to “stimulate the economy”. Isn’t that similar to what Reagen did? Isn’t that what Republicans have always said? When did the Democrats become conservative?

Oh wait, I think it was when an election was close at hand!
