Mixed up Obama

Filed under: Politics — don @ 11:47 am

Obama seems quite mixed up. He releases information on how we interrogate prisoners but classifies this exercise of flying Air Force One around the Statue of Liberty. It would seem to me he might have wanted to do it the other way around. Let the people of New York know a couple of planes will be flying low near the city. They found out as soon as it happened anyways. But please don’t tell our enemies how we get information. It just makes it that much easier for them to attack us.

  1. I have a feeling that wasn’t the real reason that plane was flying around NY…

  2. I’m not too concerned about why it was flying around NY. My point is it was without telling the public. Did you see any of the video of the panic it caused? All I suggest is they should have let people know a little before they did it.

  3. From what I understand, it was done without telling Obama either.

  4. Somehow that doesn’t make it any better in my mind. It was his administration. I also just heard it cost $328, 835 to do the flyover or whatever you call it. That would help a lot of homeless people. That would pay off at least one of my kids houses. That’s a pretty large amount of money to spend on a photo op.

  5. According to Air Force spokeswoman Vicki Stein, the flights were a training mission and “the hours would have been flown regardless.” So the cost isn’t really an issue.

  6. After I heard Obama say he wanted everyone to cut money from their budgets and save $100 million each I would think it should be an issue. But then Obama doesn’t seem to know what his people are really doing.
