I’m making a simple apple pie. This will be my first ever. If it’s pretty when it’s done I’ll post a picture.

Yes it is. I bought the crust and didn’t want to use the other one as the top so yeah, one crust.

It tastes ok but it never firmed up. It was runny after cooking it. We ended up throwing half away.

Well, it sure looks pretty! Our apple pie was just the opposite. I’ve never had such a dried out pie before – it was awful until Dayna suggested using one of the packets of apple cider mix. It wasn’t too bad after adding that!

Try the “caramel apple pie” recipe on my blog. Pre-cooking the apples is the trick for both those problems.
