I forgot all about this and had to be reminded by my Stop Smoking program. Here’s the subject from that email.
“Congratulations! You’ve met a milestone in staying quit”
That milestone would be 6 months and it happened on Sunday which was also Jenny’s birthday. Maybe that’s why I forgot or maybe I’m truly a non-smoker now and don’t think about it often. As I was told by other ex-smokers I still get the cravings but they come much less often now.
Now that’s something to celebrate! Do you have more breath and energy? How’s the sleeping aid working?

The only thing that you need to do now is to lose some weight. (I know, I’m a great one to suggest that!) But, when I was your age, I wasn’t very overweight; it is easier now than later. I’m sorry–I gave you my bad genes.

The cravings come less often. Are they less severe, and shorter lived too?

The cravings are less severe but they would never last long before so that part hasn’t changed. For the most part I feel like a non-smoker.
