I haven’t written anything about not smoking lately. That’s because there’s nothing to say about it other than I’m still not smoking. I guess I could call myself an ex-smoker technically. I saw the Doctor on Monday and told him about the not sleeping. He didn’t want me to stop the Chantix because he was quite surprised that it was working so well. He actually thought I was going to tell him I couldn’t do it. At any rate he prescribed sleeping pills to help me get some rest. I will probably take my first one tonight and see if it helps for tomorrow. If I get good sleep tonight and am still sleepy tomorrow then I’m going to worry maybe it’s something besides the Chantix. I really hope my body doesn’t need to smoke to stay awake.(just kidding there folks)
Oh yeah, I guess this is 24 days and the cravings are lessening a lot.
What’s the longest time you have quit before? Is this a new record?

The longest time before was probably 2 days if that. I think this qualifies as the record.

I like having smoke free family. You can ask Heather, the first time I saw her smoke I started to cry.

Thanks SIS! Yes , I did back in my teens! Quit by the time I was legal to buy them. It was a high school thang! (Yes, I spelled THANG—slang).

Hey, I still remember being in the back seat of your car and seeing you smoke. and then I started to cry. And I think it was the first birthday I had after that you called and told me you quit for my birthday because you saw how upset I was. And now dad quit around another birthday. I think having my family healthy is the best present ever.
And what kind of a lil sis would I be if I didn’t rat you out?

I was probably blowing SMOKE in your ear!! I don’t recall deciding to quit because of you. I decided to quit because it was disgusting and I hated the way it made me smell!
