The not smoking isn’t the problem. I think it might be the Chantix which is keeping me from sleeping which is getting me sick. Last Friday I woke up feeling kind of blah. When I heard there was a sig-alert in the Sepulveda pass I decided that was God telling me to stay home. I slept a lot that day and didn’t sleep well that night. I woke up Saturday with a really stiff neck and felt like I had been chopping wood the day before. Not really, but my body was just beat. Same thing happened Saturday and Sunday. Finally this morning the neck wasn’t as stiff but I still felt beat. I decided to give it one more day and go to the Doc tomorrow if I still feel bad. I’m feeling better this evening but at 9:30 I’m ready for bed.
I do see the Doctor on Monday the 5th so I can tell him then what I’ve been feeling.
I came to work but I’m tired.

Would it make sense to cut back on the Chantix and see if it helps? As long as you don’t start smoking again…

I’ve actually missed it several nights now. On those nights I seem to sleep a little better. The cravings don’t seem to be any worse either. I’ll ask the Doc on Monday

You have it physically out of your system now, so maybe he will tell you to cut back. I admit that for ten years after I quit, when I would smell smoke, I wanted it; you said that it didn’t smell good to you several days ago. I don’t know what the difference is, but I think you have it on the run, better than I did. I never went back, but Dad did, at least once, when he was at work. It really does get easier (maybe after ten years!)

I took it last night around 8pm and slept fine(for me). I didn’t wake up until about 4am which is normal. I like to get the bathroom heater turned on early enough to get it warm.
I really hope I don’t have cravings for 10 years. Betty does say she misses it once in a while and she quit over 5 years ago.

What day are you on, and how’s it going?
