This morning I had several strong cravings. Of course I didn’t buckle but these were as bad or worse than day 3’s. Then at lunchtime an interesting thing happened. One of the guys I do lunch with had a smoke before coming into the restaurant. When he walked in I actually smelled the smoke when he sat down. Maybe things are really changing.
I wish I could say that turned the day around but I’ve had a few more cravings. Here’s hoping this weekend is a little easier than today.
Just because I haven’t written, I still check here several times a day. I’m the silent watcher and supporter.

I always said when I quit, that I didn’t realize how much smell I had lost. Dirty diapers could be smelled far away now, and when a small electrical fire started on an overhead light, I smelled it.
Keep your sights on the big goals of a month, or two and the (should be) large change in your ability to exhale air from your lungs.

Interesting. You “smelled the smoke…” Did it smell good, bad or indifferent to you? It definitely proves progress.

It didn’t smell good. It smelled kinda like an ashtray.
