I didn’t realize how close the B17 Sentimental Journey was to Mom. Here’s a satellite photo showing where Richard and Dianna spent New Years 2006. This is also very close to Mom’s place.

Yes, we are located very near Falcon Field. We have heard several small airplanes this morning. While we are here this time I would like to go to their museum. One of these days I am also going to make the trip to Tucson to visit the Pima Air Museum and visit some of my other old haunts. I think it would be fun to go to Kitt Peak again to see hoe it has changed since we first visited it.

Later yesterday I heard some larger engines so I went outside to look. I saw a B25 taking off and what looked like an AT-6 doing touch and goes.

I guess Falcon Field is where they keep a lot of older planes. I wonder if they allow you to go on field and wander around?

I’ve been to the museum at FF. Not huge, but it is pretty interesting. Lots of old planes and also WW2 weapons and gear. Worthwhile.
