woman‎Olive MORIE‏‎
Born ‎1771, died ‎1840‎, 68 or 69 years
In 1870, in the town of Smithfield, Providence, RI, Richard MOWRY was 64 years old. In the 1850 family records, Richard MOWRY lodged at Arnold BRIGGS' place. Was Olive's name MOWRY rather than MORIE? Was Richard her brother or nephew?

manArnold BRIGGS‏, son of George BRIGGS and Name filtered‏.
Born ‎23 Mar 1770 at Warwick Kent, RI, died ‎1859 at Smyrna, Chenango Co, NY‎, 88 or 89 years
Received only $10 in his father's will but was named as executor. He owned a farm in Smyrna. He was a leading member of the Society of Friends and his daughters were strict Quakers and dressed in Quaker costume (from Lila Sampson's book). He was listed in the 1800, 1810, 1820 and 1830 Census records for Smyrna, and in the 1828 Quaker census. In 1790, he is found in the Census of Little Compton, RI.
His will, signed July 5, 1856 in Smyrna, left money to the children of his deceased son, Giles, namely Marvin and Jane. The will was recorded April . 9, 1859 in Book H page 437, (I think. Difficult to read)
In the 1800 census on line, I found Arnold in the town of Sherborne, and in Smyrna in 1820,30, 40 and 1850. In 1850, he was listed as a farmer, 80 years old, with property valued at $600, Ruth age 45, Lovina, 41 and Jason, 49 living at home

In the 1850 Census of Richmond, Ontario Co. an Arnold Briggs is listed as a resident. I have not found him there before, but also have never found another Arnold BRIGGS. Other Arnold BRIGGS mentioned in Massachusetts at about the same time, as being married to a "Mary".
