Info from Sandy at 21 Oct 2000 via Rootsweb. Her address changed in 2003 to

Moved to Clarendon, VT, married Elizabeth SPENCER, bought land of Benjamin SPENCER (land records pg 35-36) I had the info that he was born in E. Greenwich, Kent Co. RI, but Marilyn Robertson has been researching this family, and found that he was born in Newport Co. RI. The date was correct.

In 1777, in the annals of Clarendon, VT, it is written that Daniel erected the first frame house in the southwest corner of the town.
