There were many people, with "Gurney" as a surname, living in Abington, Plymouth Co. in 1790. I can't yet find which was my ancestor, but feel that she was related to the Peet family by marriage. The Abington town eventually became the towns of Rockland and Whitman. (Information is placed here just to keep it in a logical place.) Found in the Abington, Plymouth Co MA 1790 Census.
