Surviving are five daughters: Mrs. Freeman AcAllister, Painted Post; Mrs. Marvin Napier, Randolf; Mrs. George Flatz, Hornell; Mrs. Martha Paine, Whitesville; Mrs. Mary Metcalf, Harrison Valley, PA; two brothers, Ward Swort, Smethport, PA, Poyal Swort, Whitesville; a sister, Mrs. Alice Jones, Whitesville; 33 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, neices and nephews.

Owned and operated Mary's Grocery in Harrison Valley PA for many years. Worked at Galeton Production, was a nurse's aide at Highland Nursing Home in Wellsville, NY, and an LPN at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport for 22 years.

She was a member of the Harrison Valley Federated Church, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 95 in Ulysses, Harrison Township Auxilliary, Carl E. Hyde American Legion Post 963 Oadies Auxiliary in Ulysses, Keenagers, and the North Fork Grange. She served on the committee that erected the Harrison Township Veteran's Memorial, was Harrison Township Republican ccommittee woman and served as the Harrison Valley correspondent for the Free Press Courier for many years.
