Hartley LAFFERTYBorn 29 Nov 1893 at Rushford, NY, died 2 Jun 1900 at Rushford, Allegany, NY, 6 years Hartley Lafferty, the six year old son of Riley Lafferty, died shortly after midnight, Sunday night. He had been suffering from appendicitis and on Sunday was operated on by Drs. Eddy and Knowles of Olean, assisted by Dr. Thomas of Cuba and Dr. Ballard of this place. Multiple abscesses were found and his condition was such that he could not recover. He was a bright, handsome little fellow, always active and cheerful, and his death is indeed a sad blow to the family who have much sympathy. He leaves one brother, whom it will be frmembered was operated on in Buffalo twice for a trouble with his leg, and two sisters. The funeral was held Wednesday at Bellville Church, Rev.
