Graduated Olean High School in 1937, from Westbrook Academy and took classes in St. Bonaventure College. She worked at A.E. Ewing Comapany for 13 years, then retired from Niagara Mohawk Power Company after 30 years service.
She was member of the Olean General Hosipital Auxiliary, a life time memebr of Western Division
Retirees Club of Niagara Mowhawk, a member of First Baptist Church of Olean for more than 66 years,
a member of Olean Court No. 19 Order of the Amaranth for more than 60 years, and a lifetime member of
the Tyler Chapter No.97 Order of the Eastern Star in Portville. She was a Grand Royal Matron in the
Order of Amaranth of the State of New York 100th. anniversary in 1997-1998 and held many surpreme and
grand offices. She was a longtime member of Olean's Women's Bowling Association, a member of Western
New York Hummel Club, a member of AARP, and a lifelong member of the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club
and former volunteer of Interfaith Caregivers.
