I’m not sure who I get to blame.\u00c2\u00a0 I don’t know if it’s from mom’s side or dad’s side but it didn’t just happen.<\/p>\n
By now you’re asking yourself “What is he talking about?”\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I’m talking about my lower pods, my lower appendage ends, in other words, my feet.<\/p>\n
It seems I have been blessed\u00c2\u00a0 in one way in that I don’t have flat feet.\u00c2\u00a0 Although that has probably saved me from early foot pain, I do suffer from the opposite affliction.\u00c2\u00a0 I have “high arches”.\u00c2\u00a0 In fact the podiatrist said they are unusually high.<\/p>\n
A little background is in order.\u00c2\u00a0 For the last year or so I’ve had a pain on the side of my foot that comes and goes.\u00c2\u00a0 It mainly hurt only if I was walking but lately it’s gotten to the point where it hurt most of the time.\u00c2\u00a0 The pain has also started radiating up to my ankle so I decided it was time to see a Dr.\u00c2\u00a0 My GP didn’t have a clue so he referred me to a pod doc.\u00c2\u00a0 I saw him today and that’s when he told me my problem.\u00c2\u00a0 He gave me an injection of cortisone and made a temporary cushion. \u00c2\u00a0 I guess those of us with extremely high arches tend to walk on the outside of the foot which creates above normal stress.<\/p>\n
The cure is orthotics.\u00c2\u00a0 So now I have an appointment to get my foot lathered in plaster of Paris.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ll keep you informed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
