You take a gallon of skim milk and heat it in a pot.  When it gets to 120 degrees you pour in 3\/4 cup of white vinegar and stir.  The milk will curdle pretty quick but you leave it sit for an hour to get the most out of it.  When it&#8217;s cool you pour it into a strainer lined with cheesecloth and rinse it under cold running water for several minutes.  After that you break it up in a bowl, add half and half, a little salt, and eat.<\/p>\n<p>It is good but it&#8217;s not worth the time and effort.  It doesn&#8217;t actually taste like cottage cheese.
