This is being put on hold until I get another job and make some extra money. It’s going to cost close to $20,000 to get 6 implants and then get a denture held in place by those implants. I could have all my upper teeth pulled and get a regular upper denture for a lot less. I may do that as an interim step as the cost for 6 implants is too high.

Hey I should have read this sooner! I work on implants often. It really is an interesting process.Usually if the bone is healthy they’ll choose a different restoration. Once it starts to resorb it’s gone and if you don’t do something it will get to the point that there won’t be adequate thickness for the implants.

If the person’s bone is healthy and full it can be done in a less time. Mine takes 2-3 months longer for the bone graft to take.

Ah, this is a much longer process than I thought. Wonder how they did it in a couple of weeks on Extreme Makeover? Probably not the healthiest way.

No it’s not. It will come out in about 5-6 months when they put the new teeth on the implants.
