A most cruel and horrible beast!

Filed under: Nothing — don @ 11:51 pm

We’ve got a rabbit. It’s not so much that we wanted a rabbit. I want lots of things but a rabbit is way down on my list. But nevermind that because we’ve got one in our back yard and I have no idea how it got there.

I noticed it about a week ago. At first I thought it was a cat being all furry and small and almost cat-like. But as it hopped into the light I knew it wasn’t a cat. You could even call it a bunny it’s so small. Here’s what it looks like.

I bet it would be taste like chicken.

Firefox 1.5.0.1

Filed under: Nothing — don @ 7:46 pm

If you’re running Firefox 1.5 you should be getting a popup soon telling you to update to 1.5.0.1.  It’s a security update that will also take care of the printing problem Daryl mentioned a few days ago.  Betty got the popup but I didn’t yet.  I went ahead and updated when she told me about it.

Did he or didn’t he?

Filed under: Nothing — don @ 7:12 pm

I’ve been hearing this quote on conservative talk shows for a while and I’ve always liked it.

“If you’re 25 and not a Liberal then you haven’t got a heart, and if you’re 35 and not a Conservative then you haven’t got a brain.”

WC  This has been attributed to Winston Churchill but it’s not clear if he said it.  The Churchill Centre says no but many other sources say yes.  Maybe we will never know.

Close but no cigar

Filed under: Nothing — don @ 12:25 pm

We had a LOT of rain this year. In fact we got more rain than any year but 1 since they have been keeping records. I think the last time it rained this much was in the late 1800s.

I took this picture on February 20th, 2005. Sometimes it does rain in Southern California.
